The Basilica venerates Blessed Virgin Mary, under her title Our Lady of the Pillar〔(Our Lady of the Pillar ) on Catholic-forums.〕 praised as ''Mother of the Hispanic Peoples'' by Pope John Paul II.〔Fr.
